Twenty-two local diggers got together every Friday night, playing cards, darts and various other games, and decided to form a “returned soldiers club”. They purchased an old army hut from Hay and had local carrier, Ernie Willard, relocate the hut to 37 Denison Street.
On Christmas Eve the Finley Returned Soldiers Club (RSC) was granted a full license. With this we purchased a hostel from the Tocumwal Catholic School for about £1,200 and moved to the present site at Tocumwal Street.
The club continued to expand and on October 9th, we officially became the Finley Returned Soldiers Club Limited.

Enjoy a signature Stonegrill meal in the Bistro, place a bet in the TAB or play some games of Keno, challenge your mates on the snooker tables, have a roll on the fantastic bowls greens or even a hit on the squash courts!
For birthdays, weddings and conferences, we also offer 6 fully facilitated meeting and function rooms for 20-350 guests.
